Basil - Perennial
Perennial basil has a very similar to sweet basil, however with a hint of spicy flavour. Used in Thai cuisine, use to make a quick chicken stir-fry adding the basil towards to end of cooking and toss until leaves begin to wilt. Excellent with pasta and pesto sauces. Flavour goes very well with garlic and tomato. The flowers continously flower which attract lots of bees!
Planting Info
Likes full sun to part shade. Grow up to 2m high x 1m wide. Moderate water. Prune in late summer. Likes a liquid fertiser every couple of weeks. If planting basil in the ground mix compost into the soil. If planting in a pot, be sure to use good quality potting mix.
